What is included in Marquise Home Decor packages?
All packages include two concept boards, a final design board, a floor plan and ashopping or sales list if applicable.
How long does it take to get my designs?
Once we receive your questionnaire, photos / videos of your room, payment and dimensions, you will receive your Marquise Home Decor concept within 2-3 weeks.
For example, how do I know what size carpet to buy? Or what size sofa?
The recommended size of either a carpet, or for example the sofa, for your space will be noted in the decoration concept and also in the scaled floor plan that you will
receive in your Marquise Home Decor concept.
Do not worry! You will have all the specifications so that each of the suggested furniture or accessories fits perfectly in your space.
How do I know where to buy the suggested items?
Purchase information is included in every Marquise Home Decor concept. You will also receive by email a list of all suggested products with links that you can click directly to purchase.
Does Marquise Home Decor buy the items on my List for me?
The Marquise Home Decor Consulting Online service is a design service only. The client is responsible for purchasing the furniture he chooses for his space.
Only with the D’Luxe Design service packages, we will process your shopping list for you.
What if I don’t like something I bought?
It is your responsibility to follow up the exchange or return of the furniture you purchased with the individual retailer. Each company has its own policies.
Can I use the Marquise Home Decor package service to decorate my whole house?
Yes! We have several clients who have done this and have been delighted, thanks to the high quality of the brands we collaborate with and the delivery time.
Just make sure to fill out a questionnaire for each of your spaces. This way we will have all the information we need to work on unique designs for you.
What additional costs can I expect?
At Marquise Home Decor we do our best to stay within the budget that we close before the project begins. But additional costs such as storage, shipping, installation,
or unexpected labor sometimes occur.
Even so, in all these cases, the cost will be communicated to the client in advance, so they can make the decision on how to proceed.
Does Marquise Home Decor work with contractors?
We work with contractors hired by the client. We love working with other design professionals to create your personalized space.
Marquise Home Decor does not provide contractor services; so the architects and independent contractors hired by the client are an integral part of the process.
How do I order through Marquise Home Decor?
Once you receive a proposal, you have 3 days to accept or reject it.
If you accept, we will ask you for a signed copy of the proposal or approval, along with the full payment to place your order.
Can I change my mind after placing an order?
Most of the time, orders cannot be canceled or refunded.
In the event that a full refund can be attained, you will be able to cancel the order and receive a refund for the cost of the item (discounting the purchase fee and any other applicable fees).
Custom orders are non returnable. Requests for returns and cancellations will be billed hourly. Design fees and refundable expenses are non-refundable, even when associated with a return or cancellation.
When are the payments due?
Proposals are due with payment within 7 days. Reimbursable hourly bills and expenses are due within 14 days.
Invoices more than 30 days past due will be charged a 10% late fee and all work will cease until the invoice is paid.
What if I have budget concerns?
Having a clear budget is very important for the project to run smoothly and for your expectations to be met.
We will work within the parameters of your budget, but ultimately, it is up to you to stay within budget.
What is the difference between a specification and a proposal?
A specification is a document in which we provide the details so that you can buy an item yourself. You will pay the vendor directly.
A proposal is a document in which we request the payment of items to be able to purchase them on your behalf. Proposals are paid to Marquise Home Decor.
How are items delivered?
Our policy is to perform a large installation of all your items. This includes all furniture and accessories purchased.
Items purchased by Marquise Home Decor go into a licensed, bonded, insured and climate controlled warehouse awaiting installation. Our policy is not to deliver items to your home directly or on multiple trips, this allows for a “big reveal” and helps minimize issues.
However, customers are responsible for all shipping, storage and delivery fees.
